About the event
This 18 month herbalism intensive is an "undergrad" of sorts. It teaches holistic health (and how to think like an herbalist, rather than the modern biochemical model of medicine we are more familiar with), medicine making, anatomy and physiology, plant identification, cultivation, wildcrafting, harvesting, processing, and much more!
The class is structured as half lecture, reading, and videos and half hands-on activitities. In cold months, msot hands-on work is learning about medicine making and in the warm months we move outdoors where the plants live!
Your teacher and guide is Lily Kunning, a trained herbalist with over a decade of experience. She has a clinical practice, has owned a brick and mortar herb shop, formulates for Haven Herbs, and writes and teaches classes. She also wants you to meet other herbalists and see how they incorporate herbalism into their lives, so field trips and guest speakers are part of the class.
This class or another in-person intensive like it opens the doors to advanced work in clinical, apothecary, cultivation, education, or other herbalist opportunities. For more information, read tne syllabus, or enroll, check out the FWH page.
Since each class builds on the previous classes, enrollment must be done before December's class. While it is easy to catch up on a couple month's work for a dedicated student, enrolling after that would be too much for someone to catch up on. If you want to enroll and find this class after December 11, 2022, please reach out to Lily as she creates a waitlist for the next class on an ongoing basis.
