Make/Do Work Party!
Time & Location
About the Event
2021 is the year Make/Do really starts acting like a farm. We are expanding garden beds, planting more bush crops, and getting laying chickens to sell eggs. At the end of March, our new baby chicks will be ready to live outside, and they need a home!
We have 10 Silver Laced Wyandottes, 5 Welsummer, 15 Easter Egger and 15 Green Queens waiting for their new home at the end of March and soon will add Buckeyes and Buff Orpingtons to that menagerie!
Our plans include a 25' x 13' coop and a 25' x 23' attached run. We'll be creating a weather and predator proof home for these ladies and a place to peck and scratch and dust bathe. Come join us!
People who love being outdoors and doing manual labor and building are most welcome. Feel free to bring manual or power tools, too- many hands (and tools) make lighter work! We will be social distancing outdoors and while eating, too. Bring a mask, any tools you love to work with, and a can-do ethic!
We will provide a vegetarian lunch and dinner and beverages all day. If you have specific needs, please let us know in advance, we are happy to accomodate.
RSVP for address and directions!
